Trade show meets open-air market, teenage founders from the Portland metro area were given booth space to directly sell their product or service and engage with the local startup community. Hosted with REAP, sponsored by the Oregon Community Foundation. Supported by Oregon Blue Print, Hot Lips, Panda Express, Portland Gear, Portland Night Market, and more.

Over three weeks, 400+ participants kickstarted 88 climate ventures, backed by a powerful network of mentors and speakers, including Dennis Woodside, President of Impossible Foods, and Arun Majumdar, founding director of ARPA-E. Co-hosted with Penn Climate Ventures, sponsored by Penn Social Policy & Practice, Wharton Global Youth, M&T, and the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy.

12 elite teams were selected from an applicant pool of over 400 companies, receiving select business perks, world-class mentorship, and funding from a pool of $15,000 over the course of four months. Sponsored by OneValley, supported by FINE and the Techstars mentor network.

A qualifying event for the Spark Teen Accelerator, 100+ teenagers from all over the world built and pitched ventures related to the topic of environmental sustainability. Hosted by The Helyx Initative.

With the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Spark Teen provided 30+ micro-grants to kickstart student-run ventures combatting the impacts of COVID-19, from fighting unemployment in the Dominican Republic to virtual educational programs for kindergarteners in New York City.

Spark Teen Talk with Professor Albert Napoli, provided as a keynote to the Accelerator semifinalists. Napoli is part of the faculty at the USC Marshall Entrepreneurship program and director of the New Venture Seed Competition at USC. He spoke about entrepreneurship and lean methodologies.
